April - Earth Month

Earth Day is April 22nd. Hence, April is always being referred as Earth Month nowadays. April reminds us of the importance of minimizing our impact on the environment. We feel it is important to do what we can to show appreciation for the Earth's resources, which include the harvest that provides both our food and and the ingredients of our skin care products. Eminence shares a "green" philosophy in multiple ways, not only in producing eco-friendly organic and biodynamic skin care products, but also with:

• Green production - Ingredient farms in Hungary are powered by solar and wind energy, and use geothermal heating in the laboratory. Harvesting is done by manual labor, and no chemical pesticides are used.


• Green packaging - Boxes are made from post-consumer recycled materials, and can be recycled easily. Plastic containers are made from recycled, non-toxic plastics and are also recyclable, and Eminence is working to develop corn-based plastics that are biodegradable.


• Green offices - Electricity usage is offset using wind power credits, and fans are used in place of air-conditioning. Eco-friendly software eleminates the need for printed invoices, saving 15-20 trees per year.
